Charm, Beauty, Fear

****Edit, October 7, 2009....
Ladies of Grace Comm Church in Greensboro,

I'm drawing today. I received emails, blog posts, and phone messages. I have your names and I'll draw and let you know who won. Also send me your email addresses!!! Send to Melissa@MelissaTaylor.org and I'll send you my 10 Ways to be closer to God :)

Blessings Y'all!

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Proverbs 31:30 (NIV)

What does it mean to be a woman who fears the Lord?

I want to hear what you have to say, and I'll be back later to give you my thoughts on this.

Blessings,

Melissa

Reverence. Honor.

http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Pro&c=31&v=30&t=KJV#conc/30

Just read this morning in Malachi 3 and 4 the precious promises for those who revere and honor His name.

16 Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.

Mal 3
17 "They will be mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. [a] I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. 18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

Mal 4:2
2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. 3

Melissa, thanks for your words of encouragement and inspiration yesterday! It was so good to re-visit what it means to fear our God - To Honor and respect God, to live in awe of His power and to obey His Word. I only wish we had more time with you! Our prayers will be for you, your Mom and your family in the coming week.

Melissa, I really enjoyed your visit to Grace. The message was right on target, which is no surprise. God is always right on time, isn't He? Fear: To honor and respect God, to live in awe of His power, and obey His Word. Thanks again for sharing with us. We hope you can come again!

makes me think of Esther...she was noted as being beautiful, but God used her (and her beauty) for a righteous reason - to save her people. Her beauty wasn't what solved the problem though...it opened a door to her husband (his heart) but courage and faith were what carried her through.

A conscious moment by moment awareness that it is God who has supreme control over my life! This awareness creates the desire to want to do nothing else but honor Him in all things. Nothing else is as important.

Wow, Thanks so much for posting this. I needed the reminder! I belive it's to honor & obey God & worship & love Him! Sometimes I get caught up in work and everything and my attention is not on God. I have to pray more for God to help me to walk & talk with Him daily!

Prayers & Hugs,

Jenni :o)

Also, these cells can be used to power communication devices that are typically bulky and heavy, also providing and prolonging comfort. vanessa bruno boutiques But then how DOES one have thinking errors when he has the knowledge of the exact thinking errors he is exhibiting? Realistically I'm so balanced I can be whatever I want to be Thank god for that. canada goose down coat Jvgwyibzp
